New Travel Dates

Exactly 90 days from our original trip 1 dates, we are scheduled as of now, to travel to Moscow on December 6th with our appointment with the Ministry of Education on December 8th. Definitely feels surreal at this point - especially as we have a major holiday before then! The good thing is that airfare has gone down considerably since September and thus we ended up not losing any $$$ to change the flights. The not so great thing about this time of year is the COLD! and the fact that the flights could be impacted by weather (SNOW!). But we can not control this (except to dress ridiculously warmly) and to spend time worrying about what ifs does no good whatsoever

Well most of you know that we did not go to Russia in September. Many of you know the details but for those that do not, suffice it to say that it was not because of any issue in Russia, our referral, agency, etc. It was purely a personal reason that we needed to address and work through. It was a hard time and for a while we believed adopting from Russia would be out of our grasp. We considered other options too. Maybe it still will not be possible however we have decided to give it one more shot. I truly believe things happen for a reason and can only be understood (if at all) after the fact..."life is lived forward and understood backwards".
